2026-10-24-openclaw-same-conversation-scheduled-continuations-re-admit-the-original-operator-authority

Same-conversation scheduled continuations re-admit the original operator authority. A new authenticated operator agentTurn scheduled into that creator’s exact conversation privately retains its original source, revalidates scope, role, device, grant, model restrictions, and session identity at each occurrence, and preserves the original authority ceiling. An at continuation can call next_check to rearm the same one-shot job while waiting. Authority is not inferred for old jobs, guests, scripts, isolated/current targets, or other conversations. Executable edits discard the source; revocation or replacement can retire the active occurrence.

Channel: tagged-release. Half: capability. Date: 2026-10-22.

Operator consequence: Trial a same-conversation follow-up instead of maintaining a manual reminder loop. Verify the exact target and revocation behavior before relying on it; background continuation is not a general automation grant. Use API/embedded scheduled models where sandboxing is required, because section 17 is a separate runtime-placement limit.
